Pay Yourself First - The Most Important Habit in Youth Soccer

In the world of personal finance and retirement planning, "Pay Yourself First" is a common slogan.  Strictly speaking, pay yourself first means that individuals should automatically route a specified savings contribution from each paycheck before making any purchases.   This ensures that the person manages to save money and build wealth despite what happens during the month.   At Anytime Soccer Training, we believe that personal development starts with the individual.  That's why I apply a pay yourself first mentality to the development of my own sons and the kids I training.  

As a rule, my sons do a short skills warm-up [at home] before attending team training and/or games.

Doing a little extra before every team activity is by far the most beneficial aspect of their development.
