Master the Toe Taps Stationary Drill for Improved Ball Control
November 11, 2024
One of the most basic yet effective ball mastery moves is the Toe Taps Stationary drill. This simple exercise is perfect for improving your child’s touch, ball control, and coordination—essential skills for any soccer player.
To perform the Toe Taps Stationary drill, have your child stand in one place with the ball in front of them. Using the tops of their feet, they tap the ball lightly and quickly from one foot to the other, alternating between feet. The key is to keep the ball close and tap it lightly, maintaining control at all times.
Why It’s Effective:
- Improves ball control: Helps players get comfortable moving the ball with small touches.
- Builds rhythm and coordination: Teaches players to move their feet in sync with the ball.
- Great warm-up: Excellent for getting the muscles ready for more advanced moves.
