Five Star Cone Dribble Master: 50 Sessions on Change of Direction

Fifty follow-along sessions built around one idea: dribble at pace, then change direction sharply enough that a defender cannot follow. Speed on its own is not a dribbling skill. Speed that changes is.

Every session is filmed as a follow-along, so the player presses play and copies rather than reading a description and guessing.

What the series covers

Fifty sessions at fifteen minutes each is twelve and a half hours of dribbling. Done four times a week, that is a season.

  • Speed dribbling. Carrying the ball at pace without it running away.
  • Change of direction. Sharp cuts out of that pace, in both directions.
  • Both feet. Sessions alternate leading foot rather than letting a player pick.
  • Progressive difficulty. The early sessions are walking pace; the later ones are not.
  • Follow-along format. No interpretation required — the player copies what is on the screen.

Who it suits

Player Fit
Under 8, new to structured practiceStart with the first ten sessions only
Ages 8 to 12The core audience — work straight through
Ages 13+Use it for pace and sharpness, skip the walking-pace sessions
A player who freezes in 1v1This is the series — repetition is what removes hesitation

How to work through it

One session per day, four days a week, in order. Do not skip ahead because a session looks easy; the early ones are building the touch that the later ones depend on.

If a session feels too hard, repeat it the next day rather than moving on. Nobody has ever been held back by doing a session twice.

  • One session a day, four days a week
  • In order, no skipping
  • Repeat rather than push through a session that is not clean
  • Two cones and a flat surface is the whole equipment list

Train it, do not just read about it.

Every drill on this page is a follow-along video inside Anytime Soccer Training. Your player presses play, copies what they see, and the app keeps track of what they have done.
